Eimear Ryan’s debut novel “Holding Her Breath” (2021) was published by Penguin Sandycove (Ireland/UK) and Mariner Books (US). A memoir about being a woman in sport, “The Grass Ceiling”, was published by Sandycove in May 2023. Her writing has appeared in Granta, The Dublin Review, “The Stinging Fly, Literary Hub, Winter Papers, The Long Gaze Back” (New Island) and “Town & Country” (Faber). She is a co-founder and editor of the literary journal Banshee and its publishing imprint, Banshee Press. She is a sports columnist with the Irish Examiner. From Co. Tipperary, she now lives in Cork city. Eimear Ryan was in a writing residency at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris last January.

Le premier roman d’Eimear Ryan, intitulé « Holding Her Breath » a été publié chez Penguin Sandycove (Ireland/RU) en 2021 et chez Mariner Books aux États-Unis. « The Grass Ceiling » son mémoire sur la condition de femme dans le milieu du sport est paru en 2023 chez Sandycove. Ses nouvelles ont été publiées dans les périodiques littéraires et recueils suivants : Granta, The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Literary Hub, Winter Papers, The Long Gaze Back (chez New Island) et Town & Country (chez Faber). Elle est cofondatrice et éditrice de la revue littéraire Banshee et de sa maison d’édition affiliée, Banshee Press. Elle rédige une colonne sportive dans le journal Irish Examiner. Originaire du Tipperary, elle vit à Cork. Eimear Ryan a été en résidence d’écriture au Centre Culturel Irlandais en janvier dernier.
