Pierre Assouline

Pierre Assouline is a journalist, biographer and novelist, born in Casablanca in 1953. He has published more than forty books and written a number of television documentaries. He has also presented literary programmes on the radio, on France Inter (1986-1990) followed by RTL (1990-1999), before hosting the daily morning show on France Culture; he was a columnist for Le Monde, then for L’Express, a critic for Le Nouvel Observateur, and a member of the editorial board of the monthly magazine L'Histoire. Pierre Assouline is also a blogger on the site La République des livres, which he set up in 2005. A Member of the Académie Goncourt since 2012, he also teaches literary composition at Sciences-Po Paris.

Pierre Assouline est un journaliste, biographe et romancier né en 1953 à Casablanca. Il a écrit plus d’une quarantaine de livres et est l’auteur de plusieurs documentaires pour la télévision. Il anime également des émissions littéraires à la radio, sur France Inter (1986-1990) puis sur RTL (1990-1999), avant de diriger chaque jour pendant trois ans la matinale de France Culture ; il est chroniqueur au Monde, puis à l’Express, critique pour Le Nouvel Observateur, et membre du comité de rédaction du mensuel L'Histoire. Par ailleurs, Pierre Assouline est blogueur sur le site La République des livres qu’il a créé en 2005. Membre de l’Académie Goncourt depuis 2012, il enseigne également l’écriture littéraire à Sciences-Po Paris.
