Rita Sakr is lecturer in postcolonial and global literatures at Maynooth University. Among various other publications, she is the author of Monumental Space in the Post-Imperial Novel: An Interdisciplinary Study and of ‘Anticipating’ the 2011 Arab Uprisings: Revolutionary Literatures and Political Geographies, co-editor of The Ethics of Representation in Literature, Art and Journalism: Transnational Responses to the Siege of Beirut and co-director/ co-producer of the RCUK-funded documentary on Beirut, White Flags. Rita researches and serves on public engagement initiatives and funded research projects focused on forced displacement.
Rita Sakr enseigne la littérature postcoloniale et la littérature mondiale à l'université de Maynooth. On lui doit, entre autres, Monumental Space in the Post-Imperial Novel: An Interdisciplinary Study et ‘Anticipating’ the 2011 Arab Uprisings: Revolutionary Literatures and Political Geographies .Elle a également coédité The Ethics of Representation in Literature, Art and Journalism: Transnational Responses to the Siege of Beirut et coréalisé et coproduit le documentaire sur Beyrouth White Flags, financé par le Research Councils UK (RCUK). Rita effectue des projets de recherche et contribue à des initiatives d’engagement publique sur les déplacements forcés.
