Christophe Duchatelet (France)
Par-dessus ton épaule (2017)

Born in 1963 in Fort-Lamy, Chad, Christophe Duchatelet was one of the founders of Revue Perpendiculaire, which combined literary criti­cism with reflections on contemporary art, mass culture and music, as well as publishing work by numerous authors. He is also a performer, and in June 2008 was invited by Galerie Dominique Fiat to stage his first solo exhibition in Paris: Barry, la tournée en Chine, a pictorial biography of a fictional pop star. As an author and script­writer, he has produced three novels, the most recent of which, Par-dessus ton épaule, will be published by Grasset in March 2017. He lives and writes between Paris and Mexico City.

Né en 1963 à Fort-Lamy (Tchad), Christophe Duchatelet fut un des fondateurs de la Revue Perpendiculaire, qui initia un travail critique en lien étroit avec des réflexions sur l’art con­temporain, la culture de masse, la musique, et publia de nombreux auteurs. Performeur, la galerie Dominique Fiat l’invite en juin 2008 pour sa première exposition personnelle à Paris: Barry, la tournée en Chine, biographie en images d’une pop star fictive. Romancier, scénariste, auteur notamment de trois romans, dont le dernier, Par-dessus ton épaule, paru en mars 2017 aux éditions Grasset, il se consacre à son travail d’écriture entre Paris et Mexico city.
