Catherine Cleary is a journalist, author and broadcaster. She works as the restaurant critic for The Irish Times and writes regularly about food. In 2015 she organised and hosted The Appetite Talks, a series of talks based on one important Irish ingredient. Her latest book is Counter Culture, the Sheridans Guide to Cheese, with Irish cheesemongers, Kevin and Seamus Sheridan. She co-wrote and presented with historian Juliana Adelman the radio documentary series History on a Plate, based on the stories of Irish historical recipes, mainly found in handwritten manuscripts in the National Library of Ireland.
