Anna Heussaff
aka Anna Sweeney
(Ireland)
Deadly Intent (2014) |
|
Anna Heussaff is a
novelist writing in Irish and in English. Her most
recent novel, Deadly Intent (2014), is her own
translation to English, under her pen name Anna Sweeney,
of her previous Irish work, Buille Marfach, which
was published under her own name. Hóng, an
adventure mystery she wrote for young readers, won the
2013 Judges Special Award at the Children's Books
Ireland Awards; and she is a member of the Writers in
Schools scheme.
Her crime novels to date have been set on the southwest
coast of Ireland; however, her latest crime novel (to be
published in 2015) is set in the historic area of
Kilmainham in Dublin, where she lives with her family. |

Writers in Schools ».

Is
úrscéalaí í Anna Heussaff a scríobhann i nGaeilge agus i
mBéarla. An t-úrscéal is déanaí uaithi ná Deadly
Intent (2014) a bhfuil a hainm cleite Anna Sweeney ag
gabháil leis: is aistriúchán é a rinne sí féin ar a
húrscéal Buille Marfach. Bhuaigh Hóng, a
húrscéal eachtraíochta do léitheoirí óga, Duais
Speisialta na Moltóirí ag duaiseanna Children's Books
Ireland 2013; agus tá sí páirteach i scéim na
Scríbhneoirí sna Scoileanna freisin. Go dtí seo bhí a
húrscéalta bleachtaireachta suite ar chósta an
iardheiscirt in Éirinn; ach tá an chéad cheann eile (a
fhoilseofar i 2015) suite i gceantar stairiúil Chill
Mhaighneann i mBaile Átha Cliath, áit a bhfuil cónaí
uirthi féin agus a teaghlach. |
