Cecilia Ştefănescu was born
in 1975. She made her debut with the novel Love Sick, in three
editions (2002, 2006, 2010), and published her second novel,
Sun Alley in 2008. The former has been translated in many
languages and also made into a film
shown at the Berlin Film Festival amongst others. She has given
public readings in France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy
and Poland. In 2007, she was the recipient of a writer’s
residency offered by the City Hall of Paris. From 2006 to 2008
she contributed to the Romanian
editions of Elle magazine and Le Monde
