Virginie Linhart is a historian by training and holds a PhD in
Political Sciences. For around fifteen years now she has been
writing and creating historical and political documentaries.
She has published three works: Volontaires pour
l'usine. Vies d'établis 1967/1977,1994, re-published in 2010;
Enquête aux Prud'hommes,
1998; Le jour où mon père s'est tu, 2008, Prix de
l’Essai de l'Express, 2010. She is
currently working on a new essay combining interviews she made and
biographical elements around the issue of the lives of deported Jews
on their return to France (due out soon under the title La vie
après).
She has just finished a documentary film on the
occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of François Mitterrand’s
coming to power, which goes into the records and witness accounts
about those few weeks, which in May 1981, shook France.
