David Homel was born in Chicago and left the US at the end of the
sixties. He lived in France, before going to live in Montreal,
Canada, where he became a writer. Winner of several prizes David
Homel is, apart from his work as a novelist, a documentary
filmmaker, a literary translator from French and a cultural
journalist. His novels have been translated into several languages.
He defines himself as a cultural activist, working with others for
the rights of writers and respect for their work.
