Born in 1962 in Paris, Philippe Forest, having taught in several
universities in the United Kingdom (Edinburgh, St Andrews,
Cambridge, and London), is now a lecturer at the University of
Nantes. A specialist of the avant-garde, he is the author of several
essays devoted to Art and literature. He is the author of five award
winning novels in France and elsewhere (Italy, Japan). His work has
been translated in around ten countries. From the book L'Enfant
éternel (devoted to his four year old daughter who died of
cancer) to Le Siècle des nuages (where he evokes the
story of his father, a fighter pilot and pilot-in-command), his
novels deal with the issue of paternity.
