Éilís Ní Dhuibhne was born in Dublin. She has written many novels, collections of short stories,  plays  and   non - fiction 

 

work. Her novels include The Bray House, The Dancers Dancing, Fox, Swallow, Scarecrow, Dúnmharú sa Daingean, Cailíní Beaga Ghleann na mBláth, Hurlamaboc and Dún an Airgid. She has won several literary awards including The Bisto Book of the Year Award, the Readers' Association of Ireland Award, the Stewart Parker Award for Drama, and several Oireachtas awards for novels in Irish. The Dancers Dancing was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction. Her latest novels are Fox, Swallow, Scarecrow and Dún an Airgid (2008).
Éilís is Writer Fellow in UCD (University College Dublin) where she teaches on the MA in Creative Writing. She is a member of Aosdána.
