primary school teacher. After initial studies in an engineering school (Arts et Métiers) mainly for mechanical engineering, he worked in electron beam welding for the aerospace and nuclear industry, inside and outside France (in particular in India and the USSR). In 1982 he published Sortie d’Usine. A winner of the Académie de France in Rome in 1984-1985, in 1991 he began ongoing research in the area of writing workshops. He devoted several years to a trilogy on rock’n roll and the history of the sixties and seventies. He is currently visiting professor at Laval University (Québec) and at Montreal University (Montréal).
